Kim received her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2013 with a concentration in glass and photography. During her time at Mass Art she began to incorporate both mediums to create sculptures that inform her photographs. She began teaching glass blowing her senior year after a semester long production internship at Almost Perfect Glass in North Cambridge.
Since her undergraduate studies she has been working with several artists in the Boston glass community to photograph their artwork. This relationship between glass and photography fuels her creative process as she continues to use her teaching and production knowledge to work in the area. For the future Kim will be focusing on designing functional products and continuing to sharpen her skills as a creator.
